1) Cold Molecular Physics Postdoc at University of Colorado/JILA, Boulder, CO

Come work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary group at a world-leading research institute located in the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains!

Applications are being accepted for a postdoc  position to work in a group that studies chemical reactions of trapped molecular ions with cold neutral radicals and interactions of neutral cold atoms and molecules. The results from these experiments have implications for astrochemistry, as well as fundamental molecular physics. The successful candidate will have a PhD in physical chemistry, AMO physics, or related field.

Candidates should send a detailed CV, short statement of research interests, and contact information for three references to Prof. Heather Lewandowski at lewandoh@colorado.edu . Applications will be reviewed beginning immediately and continue until the position is filled.

The University of Colorado is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a diverse workforce. We encourage applications from women, racial and ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities and veterans.

2) Trapped molecular ion/single-molecule chemistry postdoc at U of Colorado/JILA/NIST, Boulder, CO

The collaboration between the Lewandowski group at the University of Colorado/JILA and the Ion Storage Group at NIST-Boulder is looking to hire a postdoc with a preferred start date in January 2023, but later dates will be considered. The project goal is applications of single molecular ion spectroscopy and quantum-state control in state-specific chemical reactions. The successful candidate will have a PhD in AMO physics, physical chemistry, or related field.  We are looking for a motivated person to join the team to explore spectroscopy and quantum control of single molecular ions in chemistry settings. The successful candidate will incorporate findings from the collaborating groups and perform experimental investigations on the campus of NIST, Boulder. US citizenship is not required. Candidates should send a detailed CV, short statement of research interests, and contact information for three references to  Prof. Heather Lewandowski at lewandoh@colorado.edu or Dr. Chin-wen (James) Chou at chin-wen.chou@nist.gov .
