I am a graduate student at the University of Colorado and JILA, working with professor Ana Maria Rey. I am primarily interested in the dynamics of complex systems: in the past I have worked on classical dynamics of nonlinear waves and solitons, and now I study quantum systems. At JILA, we have a unique opportunity to work closely with experiments utilizing ultracold atoms and molecules in optical lattices. These experiments operate with unprecedented precision, allowing them to probe the rich properties that make the quantum world so interesting. Part of my work has focused on understanding the coupling of spin and motional degrees of freedom in quantum systems, specifically in atomic clocks containing many interacting atoms.
