Refueling the Future - with Carbon Dioxide

Graduate student Madison Foreman and Fellow Mathias Weber study molecular processes that can convert the combustion waste gas carbon dioxide (CO2) back into chemical fuels or other “value added” molecules. The Weber group uses vibrational spectroscopy to probe the structures and intermolecular forces of model catalysts and their complexes with key species in the transformation process.
