Jacobs

Matt was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma. In 2010 he joined the Air Force and became an avionics technician. He met his wife Rie while stationed in Japan and returned to the US to attend school at CU Boulder after finishing his enlistment. A senior, he is expecting to graduate May 2021 with BAs in physics and astronomy. Working with the imaging team, Matt has developed both polarization and phase retrieval projects. He hopes to attend graduate school to continue his studies in AMO. He enjoys cooking, gaming, and hiking in his spare time.
