MORNING HIKES

Meet up at 809 Quince Avenue

Wednesday, June 18th, 9 to 11 AM

We will gather at David Nesbitt and Eva Nozik's place around 9 AM. Their home is located 3 miles north of downtown Boulder. To get there, turn west on Quince Avenue from North Broadway and continue to the cul-de-sac/dead end. The house is the last one on the north side of the street, deep blue-grey with white trim.

If you're using public transportation, you can catch the SKIP Bus that runs up and down Broadway Street every 20 minutes. Get off at the Quince and Broadway Stop and walk west on Quince Avenue to the dead end (2 - 3 minutes). There’s also street parking available, but avoid blocking mailboxes.

Hiking/Walking Options

Easy walk around Wonderland Lake: A scenic, peaceful 1.5-mile circuit on the Boulder Greenbelt/Open space.

More challenging hike: If you're looking for something more strenuous, there are trails from the west or north side of Wonderland Lake leading up into the hogback formation. This option adds 1 to 3 miles and involves a 500-1000' elevation gain, offering fantastic views over North Boulder.

Please remember to allow at least 30 minutes after the walk to make it to the 11:30 AM lunch & poster session.

Bring water bottles. Water bottle filling facilities and bathrooms are available before and after the hike.
