Maruko

Chitose joined the group in Fall 2023 after graduating from Smith College. At Smith, she worked on precision spectroscopies on light elements with Prof. Will Raven. Before moving to Boulder, she spent half a year on a sub-tropical island in Japan, Okinawa, working with Prof. Hiroki Takahashi on building an integrated ion-cavity interface. She is currently working on a Rubidium matter-wave interferometer experiment, exploring squeezing and cavity mediated interactions inside a matter-wave interferometer.

Larsen

Rae grew up in Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in physics in 2022. At ASU, Rae became involved in the CXFEL lab and stayed there for a year after graduation working with high power ultrafast lasers. Now Rae works in the KM group at CU boulder developing laser systems. Outside of physics Rae enjoys movies,  ceramics, and general nerdy gaming activities.

Klein

Clay grew up in southwest Pennsylvania and received a B.S. in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Clarion University of Pennsylvania in 2022. As an undergraduate, he worked on a variety of research projects including developing aerogels for thermal insulation on high speed aircraft as an intern at NASA's Glenn Research Center, investigating materials for photonic device applications at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and developing new methods for improving scanning electron microscope measurements with Professor Chunfei Li at Clarion University.
