We are pleased to offer Project Management for Research virtually this fall. This workshop introduces formal project management, including standard terminology, best practices for team building and operations, and provides an opportunity to develop standard plans that include communication, work breakdown, estimating and scheduling. Dr. Ellen Keister developed this workshop to be relevant for STROBE trainees both in their current academic research groups, as well as in their future careers in industry, academia, and national labs.
We are hoping to accommodate as many students and postdocs who are interested. The full workshop is two sessions of two hours each, four hours total, and there are two sets of dates listed below:
Workshop 1: November 4 AND 5 from 12-2pm PT, 1-3pm MT, 3-5pm ET
Workshop 2: November 19 AND 20 from 9-11am PT, 10-12pm MT, 12-2pm ET
If there is enough interest, we will run both. If not, we will choose the one that maximizes participation.
