Event Details & Abstracts
Have you ever asked yourself: How do clouds form? Why do they have different shapes? Why do some clouds rain and others just move on? What do I need to make a cloud? Can I make a cloud at home?
Join CU Wizards on January 25th when Dr. Katja Friedrich, a physicist who has ventured into the Alps and Rocky Mountains to better understand the physics of clouds, storms and mountainous weather, will talk all about cumulus clouds: the water cycle, weather, and about how the air we breathe is influenced by the Earth's dynamic forces.
This in-person show will allow K-12 students and families to join Prof. Friedrich presenting a special behind-the-scenes look into the science behind clouds!
***
For over 4 decades, CU Wizards family shows allow K-12 students to visit campus on a Saturday morning, participate in STEAM programs, meet and talk to professors, scientists, & fellow students of all ages who are enthusiastic about learning and understanding scientific wonders!
