Synopsis: The Mittag Lab works to understand the dynamic properties of proteins and clustering of cellular components, mainly the formation of membraneless organelles, contribute to the development of disease using NMR spectroscopy, light scattering, fluorescence approaches, microscopy, proteomics, and analytical ultracentrifugation. The work is focused on phase separation, compartmentalization in biomolecular condensates, and sequence-conformation-function relationships of IDPs.
