Synopsis: The Kleiner lab’s goal is to understanding cellular homeostasis and RNA modifications/molecular mechanisms using  synthetic oligonucleotide and nucleoside chemistry, RNA-protein biochemistry, chemoproteomics, quantitative cellular imaging, and next-generation nucleic acid sequencing. The lab uses chemoproteomic profiling of RNA modification ‘reader’ proteins, nucleoside probes for studying cellular RNA metabolism and localization, as well as having developed a method for RNA-mediated activity-based protein profiling (RNABPP).
