All postdocs and early-career investigators are invited to attend. Dr. Cesar Nufio is a program officer in NSF's Division of Environmental Biology and former CU Boulder postdoc in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EBIO). He examines the effects of climate change on organisms, specifically grasshoppers. Dr. Dena Smith is a program officer in NSF's Sedimentary Geology and Paleobiology in the Division of Earth Sciences. Dena was an Associate Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences and the CU Museum of Natural History. Dr. Smith studies fossil insects and their interactions with plants over time. Drs. Nufio and Smith will share insights about the NSF review process and how to be more effective at communicating science. There will be a presentation and time for Q&A. Postdocs and early-career investigators will learn how grants are evaluated and be provided an opportunity for open discussion on a variety of related topics. Registration is required.
