Thursday, March 16, 2017 - 3:30pm

Seminar Location:

  • JILA X317

Speaker Name(s):

Susanne Yelin

Speaker Affiliation(s):

University of Connecticut
Seminar Type/Subject

Scientific Seminar Type:

  • JILA Public Seminar

Event Details & Abstract:

Cooperative interaction in atomic ensembles can be a powerful resource for quantum optics and quantum information applications. This often has to start by understanding the nature of such diverse collective effects as line shifts, spin squeezing, or guided optical modes. In the discussion of those three examples various approaches to this topic will be examined
