Kathy Hoogeboom-Pot Selected as winner of IGERT competition's Judge's Choice Award

Kathy Hoogeboom-Pot's video submission to the 2013 Integrative Graduate Education and Research Traineeship (IGERT) Video and Poster Competition has been selected as a winner of a Judge’s Choice Award in this year's Video and Poster Competition. As a result, Hoogeboom-Pot has been invited to attend an all-day awards ceremony in the National Science Foundation Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, on June 11, 2013.

This year's competition included 124 submissions from 249 graduate students participating in 119 IGERT programs. The online video competition has received more than 16,500 "Likes" on Facebook and more than 39,000 visitors from more than 153 countries. News sites featuring the competition include Scientific American, Nature, Red Orbit, and Yahoo.
