Ming-Chan received his B.S. in Physics from NTHU (National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan) and his M.S. in Electro-Optical Engineering from NCTU (National Chiao Tung University). He joined the KM group as a Ph.D graduate student in 2007, received his Ph.D in 2012, and will join the faculty of physics as as Assistant Professor in National Tsing-Hua University in early 2013. He is interested in pulse measuring, shaping and high harmonic generation from ions in capillary discharge using all-optical phase matching techniques. He is from a very warm and humid city, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The weather there is totally different from Boulder.
