Bill Ford

Speaker Affiliation(s):

University of Colorado Boulder
Seminar Type/Subject

Scientific Seminar Type:

  • Physics Department Colloquium

Event Details & Abstract:

When as a grad student in 1964 I took my first particle physics course, the violation of CP symmetry had just been discovered, and the concept of "quarks" had newly been proposed.  In this talk I offer some personal perspectives on the evolution of the Standard Model of particle physics and some of the field's still-open questions.
