Event Details & Abstract:

The rate of use of imaging services for the diagnosis of disease has increasedsignificantly in the past decade, due to both impressive advancements in imaging technology and rapid growth in imaging capacity. This talk will focus on the unique contributions to medicine of the commonly used imaging modalities in Radiology: X-Ray, CT, MRI, PET and Ultrasound. Factors such as spatial, contrast and temporal resolution, imaging speed, patient acceptance and safety, processing options and cost all contribute to the decision of what is the “best” imaging modality.
