Event Details & Abstract: 

Due to the current search of Majorana fermions, the physics of  two-dimensional identical fermions with short-range p-wave interactions  is of immediate interest. In the first part of the seminar, I will talk  about the effective theory of a chiral p+ip fermionic superfluid at zero  temperature. In the second part, I will concentrate on the few-body  physics near a p-wave resonance and introduce the super Efimov effect- a  tower of three-body bound states with a double-exponential scaling.
