Susanna Kohler

I received my undergraduate degree in physics at UC Santa Barbara, and I’ve since traded the Pacific for the Rockies to work on a PhD in astrophysics at University of Colorado Boulder. I’m currently in my fifth year here, and I belong jointly to JILA and the Department of Astrophysics and Planetary Sciences (APS).  My research interests span high-energy astrophysics, with an emphasis on theoretical work. My current research focuses on modeling the extremely relativistic jets that we see emitted from active galactic nuclei.
