A set of electron-Ar cross sections with 25 excited states. The set of cross section in this file was generated by Professor M. Hayashi. Since his retirement he has been at the Gaseous Electronics Institute, 503 Sakae High Home, 15-14 Sakae 4-chome, Nakaku, Nagoya 460, Japan. See also, K. Kosaki and M. Nanbu, Institute of Fluid Science, Tohoku University, Sendai 980-77, Japan. A somewhat modified set of Hayashi's cross sections, i.e., a higher momentum transfer cross section at high energies, has been used in Monte Carlo calculations and yields electron transport and ionization coefficients that are approximately consistent with swarm experiments. This particular bibliography is devoted to electron-Ar cross sections. Hayashi's recommended electron-Ar cross section set is tabulated at the end of the report.
