M87, the galaxy at the center of the Local Supercluster

The mass of the black hole at the center of M87 has been measured to be 6.6 ± 0.4 × 109 solar masses (Gebhardt & al. 2011 “The Black-Hole Mass in M87 from Gemini/NIFS Adaptive Optics Observations”).
