JILA is committed to the privacy of our visitors; thus most users access the JILA website anonymously. Data collected from anonymous users may be aggregated to determine the number of times the website is accessed and the number of times particular secondary pages are used. The website does use cookies to track the website usage of JILA members.
The website only collects personal information (such as your email address) that is voluntarily provided when you contact the JILA webmaster.

JILA provides most of the information on these pages as a public service. However, if an image or written material is marked as copyrighted, then you must contact the JILA webmaster for permission to use it.
Most of the information and the images on the JILA website are covered by JILA’s Creative Commons License . This license gives website users free use of our content and images as long as users give proper credit to JILA and the individuals who created the content or image (if known). Interaction with Children
The JILA website offers some content under its Education and Outreach section that may be of interest to children under 13.
