Awards
Each year, JILA faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral research associates receive important recognition for their work. For instance, the Faculty includes three Nobel Laureates and two MacArthur Fellows. Every year, the American Physical Society's Division of Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics (DAMOP) gives an award for a particularly distinguished dissertation. Since 2000, six former JILA graduate students, two new faculty members, and two JILA postdoctoral research associates have won the award. JILA postdoctoral research associates are also well represented among each year's winners of the coveted National Research Council postdoctoral fellowships.
